This study aims to describe comprehensive midwifery care through education and assistance in selecting LCMs for Mrs. R G3P2A0 from the third trimester to the postpartum period at the Suwarti Somad Independent Midwife Practice (PMB), Bengkulu City. The descriptive case study was conducted from May 21–July 3, 2024, with data collection through interviews, observations, physical examinations, documentation studies, and literature studies; counseling interventions using booklets and Family Planning Decision-Making Tools (ABPK). A 24-year-old client, G3P2A0, expressed her desire to use contraception after giving birth and had a history of previous contraceptive use (condoms and 3-month injections). After receiving education and assistance, the client better understood the LCM option and confidently chose an IUD with a plan to use it after 40 days of the postpartum period. Continuous education and support from pregnancy to postpartum helps clients understand the options for IUDs and strengthens their decision to choose an IUD according to their needs.
Sintia Indah Tamara Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Indonesian Army Medical and Health Science https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ https://ejournal-kesad.id/index.php/jiamhs/article/view/5 Tue, 03 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Behavior of Communities Along The Air Bengkulu River in Managing Household Waste https://ejournal-kesad.id/index.php/jiamhs/article/view/4
A river is a large, elongated water flow that flows continuously from upstream (source) to downstream (estuary). Garbage or household waste is waste that comes from daily activities in the household. People's behavior is less aware of waste disposal, for example there are still many people who throw waste carelessly, such as on the banks of rivers and streams, resulting in negative impacts on the community's environment caused by their own actions which will result in their environment becoming polluted, smelling bad and flooding. as a result of littering. The aim of the research is to determine the behavior of the Air Bengkulu riverside community in managing household waste. The research method for this type of research is descriptive quantitative. The results of the research based on data processing and analysis showed that there was no relationship between attitudes and public perception where p = 1.000, there was a relationship between actions and public perception where p = 0.023. The community's suggestions are expected to better understand the importance of managing household waste to protect it and not pollute the residential environment so that it can cause odors and become a nest for disease.
Topik Hidayat Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Indonesian Army Medical and Health Science https://ejournal-kesad.id/index.php/jiamhs/article/view/4 Tue, 03 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Analysis Of The Relationship Between Knowledge And Nurse Compliance In The Use Of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) In The Treatment Room Of Kindergarten Hospital. Although the use of these fixation devices is common, further research is needed to evaluate their effectiveness more deeply and understand their impact on treatment outcomes and patient quality of life. This study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach, involving the evaluation of fixation devices, such as tongue spatulas, used to maintain patient position stability during radiation. Research shows that the use of a tongue depressor is effective in improving radiation accuracy, reducing doses to organs at risk (OAR), and clarifying the tumor area. This enhances radiation accuracy and reduces risks to healthy tissues. This makes the treatment more effective in destroying cancer cells. This research is expected to contribute to the development of standard radiotherapy procedures for tongue cancer patients, particularly in the use of VMAT techniques. The implementation of Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) in the treatment of tongue cancer at MRCCC Siloam Hospital has demonstrated significant improvements in treatment accuracy and patient outcomes. The study underscores the effectiveness of fixation devices, particularly the tongue spatula, in enhancing radiation delivery while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. These findings advocate for the routine use of VMAT and appropriate fixation techniques in clinical practice, ultimately contributing to better disease control and improved quality of life for patients with tongue cancer.
Rizki Syafiq Nabilah, Ni Putu Rita Jeniyanthi, I Putu Andreana Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Indonesian Army Medical and Health Science https://ejournal-kesad.id/index.php/jiamhs/article/view/3 Tue, 03 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Relationship Between Nurse Compliance and Implementation of Five Moments Hand Hygiene in Preventing HAIs at Pelamonia TK.II Hospital Makassar 2025 https://ejournal-kesad.id/index.php/jiamhs/article/view/40-60
Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) are infections acquired by patients during care in a healthcare facility that were neither present nor incubating at the time of admission.
